Introduction

Multi-touch sequence in AIDA enables you to engage high-intent prospects across multiple channels (Email and LinkedIn) using personalized messaging. By combining AI-generated messages, intent-based targeting, and conditional logic, AIDA helps you build strategic outreach campaigns that drive better responses.

This guide walks you through setting up a multi-touch outreach sequence using a real-world HR Tech use case.

🚀 Steps to Set Up Multi-Touch Sequence

1. Start a New Outreach

  • Navigate to the Outreach tab or click on "New Outreach".

  • Select "Multi-touch Outreach" from the two options and click "Ok".

2. Configure Outreach Details

  • Enter Outreach Name

  • Audience Type: Choose B2B (business emails for enterprise targeting) or B2C (personal emails for individual targeting).

  • Contact Addition Method:

    • Select "Yes" to add the set number of contacts automatically on a daily basis.

    • Select "No" for manual contact addition (for this example).

  • Pain Point:
    “HR Tech startups targeting enterprise clients fail to stand out in cold outreach because their messaging doesn’t address the specific pain points of HR leaders (e.g., high employee turnover).”

  • Value Proposition:
    “AIDA’s intent-driven outreach identifies HR leaders actively searching for turnover solutions and crafts personalized emails/LinkedIn messages highlighting how our tool reduces attrition by 40% through predictive analytics.”

Click "Continue". You’ll see a confirmation: "Outreach created successfully."

3. Select Intent Topic(s)

  • Choose one or more relevant Intent Topics (e.g., "AI Automation").

  • Click "Add" to select or "Preview" to view topic trends.

  • Select Intent Strength: Both High and Medium will be selected by default. Keep only High.

  • Click "Continue".

4. Filter & Select Contacts

  • AIDA displays contacts based on the selected intent topics.

  • Apply additional filters (industry, title, location, etc.) to narrow down the list.

  • Click "Apply Filters" and then select the contacts you want to target.

  • Click "Continue" to proceed.

5. Build the Multi-Touch Sequence

The Listener step is added by default to capture selected contacts.

Now add the following steps as per the use case:

Step 1: Action (Configure Email)

  • Select the "+" icon and choose "Action".

  • Name the step (e.g., "Send Email"). Enable "AI Personalized" via the toggle switch. Select a template from the dropdown menu. Preview the message by entering a sample email and clicking "Preview" (Optional). Finalize with "Save Step".

Step 2: Wait (Set Delay)

  • Select the "+" icon and choose "Wait".

  • Define the delay duration (e.g., 3 days). Confirm with "Save Step".

Step 3: Decision (Establish Logic)

  • Select the "+" icon and choose "Decision".

  • Name the step (e.g., "Has replied to the email"). Enable the "Has replied" condition checkbox. Save with "Save Step".

  • Path Routing:

    • Yes Path: Contacts are auto-qualified upon positive reply (no further action required)

    • No Path: Proceeds to the next step in the sequence

Step 4: Action (Initiate LinkedIn Follow-Up)

  • On the "No Path", select the "+" icon and choose "Action".

  • Select "LinkedIn" as the channel. Name the step (e.g., "Send LinkedIn Connection Request"). Enable "AI Personalized" and select a template from the dropdown. Preview the message with sample text (Optional). Finalize with "Save Step".

Finalize Sequence

Click "Continue" to proceed.

6. Configure Email & LinkedIn Settings

📧 Email Settings

  • Daily Limit: Set maximum emails to be sent per day

  • Signature: Choose signature to appear in emails

  • Show Unsubscribe Link: Enable to allow opt-out replies

  • Schedule Days: Select the preferred delivery days for email deployment (e.g., Tuesday and Friday).

  • Preferred Time: Currently it can't be edited and is in EST time zone.

  • Delay Between Each Emails: Set delay in seconds.

💼 LinkedIn Settings

  • Daily Limits:

    • Connection Requests

    • InMails

    • Messages

  • Schedule Days: Select the preferred delivery days for email deployment (e.g., Monday and Friday).

  • Preferred Time: Currently it can't be edited and is in EST time zone.

Click "Save" to confirm settings.

7. Activate Sequence

You’ll be taken back to the sequence view.

  • Review or modify steps if needed

  • Click "Activate"

  • Confirmation: "Sequence activated"

🔄 To edit the sequence later, deactivate it first, then reactivate after making changes.


👥 Managing Contacts in Outreach

Navigate to the "Contacts" tab within the outreach.

Tabs Overview:

Tab Name

Purpose

Draft

                        Contacts not yet added to sequence

Contacts with Due Tasks

                        Contacts awaiting approval

Contacts in Progress

                        Approved contacts in the flow

Qualified Contacts

                        Contacts who responded positively

Contacts with Errors

                        Contacts with delivery issues

Tip: Click on "Edit" and use "Discover Contacts" to add more contacts mid-campaign.

Add Contacts Manually

  • Under "Draft" tab, click on "Add Contacts" > Choose:

    • Import from CSV - Select the CSV file from the local disk and click on the "Upload" button.

    • Create Manually - Create the contact manually by filling all the mandatory fields.

Approve Contacts

  • Select contacts from "Draft".

  • Click "Add to Sequence".

  • Go to "Contacts with Due Tasks", review and approve each message.

  • Once approved, messages will be sent as per schedule and move through sequence steps.

  • Upon receiving a positive reply from any contact, the system will automatically categorize and transfer these leads to the "Qualified Contacts" tab for further nurturing.

  • Use intent topics with high engagement trends for better targeting.

  • Review AI-generated messages before approval for tone and personalization.

  • Use different channels (Email + LinkedIn) to increase touchpoints.

  • Adjust schedules to avoid weekends and optimize delivery times.
