Setting Up Action Steps to Automate Campaign Tasks

Action Steps allow you to automate specific tasks within a campaign, ensuring seamless workflow execution. These tasks include sending contacts to Beeswax, HubSpot, Salesforce, and Zapier, adding them to a list, or introducing a delay. Action Steps can be triggered by Decision Steps or directly from Feeder Steps, enabling targeted and automated actions.


Action Steps Overview

1. Send to Beeswax Segment

Purpose: Sends contacts to a Beeswax segment for targeted campaigns.

Steps to configure:

  1. Click on the "Send to Beeswax Segment" step.

  2. A pop-up will appear upon double click on the step. Rename the step if needed (default: "Send to Beeswax Segment").

  3. Select an existing Beeswax Connection from the dropdown (ensure it is created beforehand).

  4. Choose a Device (options: bitOS, iOS, or Android).

  5. Select an existing segment or create a new one:

    • Click "Create New" to open a pop-up.
      Image

    • Enter the Segment Name and click "Create" to generate a new Beeswax segment.

    • You will be redirected to the "Send to Beeswax Segment" pop-up.

  6. If you don't want to create a new segment, select an existing one from the dropdown.

  7. Click "Save" to finalize the step.

2. Wait

Purpose: Introduces a delay in the workflow before the next action.

Steps to configure:

  1. Click on the "Wait" step.

  2. A pop-up will appear upon double click on the step. Rename the step if needed (default: "Wait").

  3. Enter the Wait duration (in hours, days, or weeks). Click "Save" to apply the delay.

3. Add to List

Purpose: Adds contacts to an existing contact list for further actions.

Steps to configure:

  1. Click on the "Add to List" step.

  2. A pop-up will appear upon double click on the step. Rename the step if needed (default: "Add to List").

  3. Select the desired Contact List from the dropdown.

  4. Click "Save" to finalize the step after the list is selected.

4. Create Lead in Salesforce

Purpose: Creates a new lead in Salesforce from the campaign.

Steps to configure:

  1. Click on the "Create Lead in Salesforce" step.

  2. A pop-up will appear upon double click on the step. Rename the step if needed (default: "Create Lead in Salesforce").

  3. Select a Salesforce Destination Connection from the dropdown (ensure it is set up beforehand and properly mapped).

  4. Click "Save" to finalize the step.

5. Send to HubSpot

Purpose: Sends contacts from the campaign to HubSpot.

Steps to configure:

  1. Click on the "Send to HubSpot" step.

  2. A pop-up will appear upon double click on the step. Rename the step if needed (default: "Send to HubSpot").

  3. Select a HubSpot Connection from the dropdown (ensure it is set up beforehand and properly mapped).

  4. Select an existing list in Hubspot from the dropdown.

  5. Click "Save" to finalize the step.

6. Send to Zap

Purpose: Sends contacts to Zapier via a webhook for automation.

Steps to configure:

  1. Click on the "Send to Zap" step.

  2. A pop-up will appear upon double click on the step. Rename the step if needed (default: "Send to Zap").

  3. Enter the Zap Webhook URL and click on "Test Connection". This will validate the URL and send a sample payload.

  4. Click "Save" to store the Zap webhook URL.
